Jer. 49:38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.

Jeremiah’s statement about Elam’s destruction seems to take on eschatological dimensions as God said He would set His throne (authority or rule upon) in Elam to supervise her destruction. Not a physical throne that will be in Jerusalem.
